in detail

Two lions with a metal outline standing on two feet are the symbol of the Bet Yitzchak synagogue, meaning the house of Isaac, after one of the patriarchs of Israel. The lions represent honor, courage and divine power; they are also related to the emblem of the tribe of Judah, from which it is believed that the Messiah will come.

In the 1950’s, the Ashkenazi Jews put forward the idea of building a synagogue since the community was growing and was getting too big for private homes. That building was found in 1953 in Eugenio Sue. The architecture is contemporary, austere and functional. On Mondays and Thursdays the Torah is read. Painting, Bar and Bat Mitzvah, and Talmud Torah classes are given to children.
