How to get

Isabel la Católica #30, Col. Centro Histórico. 06000, Historic Center

in detail

In the New Spain era, it was very difficult to get a peerage. To begin with, you had to be from a family with several generations of substantial wealth and have many properties. People who obtained the title of count were few, as they should be descendants of conquerors, founding fathers, commandants of indigenous peoples, ranchers, miners and public servants.

The title of Count and Viscount Miravalle was awarded to Alonso Davalos Bracamonte in 1670, patron of the missions in Baja California. The building he constructed was in the first section of the city and one of the first palaces of Mexico City. It is currently a boutique hotel, a hostel and has attractive craft shops and Mexican design in its interiors.
