This square is one of the oldest and most famous of the Centro Histórico. It features an esplanade with flower beds, benches and a fountain built by the Valencian architect Tolsá in the eighteenth century. In one corner you can see a statue of Erasmo Castellanos Quinto, known for his Ateneo de la Juventud.
