The Tlalpan forest is one of the lungs of the city, and it has the category of protected natural zone since 1997. It belongs to the area of Pedregal de San Ángel, a rock area formed because of the eruption of the Xitle volcano two millenniums ago. According to experts, you can find 200 flora species and 130 kinds of animals.
It is compounded by 252 hectares settled in the south of the city, it is the perfect place for runners and family. They also hold competitions and races that promote coexistence. In addition to the forest, you can also find a cultural center, shacks, tables for food, children's games and parking place.
