This is tasteful shopping therapy for every budget. Every Saturday, San Angel is transformed into the paradise of temptations. Redecorating the house? Visiting the city? Do you need to buy presents? Would you like to spoil yourself? You don't need excuses to come. We know you love it.

Saturday is market day in San Angel, between the Carmen Square and San Jacinto Square. Blankets, clothing, wood carvings, jewels, dolls, curiosities, and all types of crafts between the squares and the corner of San Jacinto con Amargura. Find paintings, sculptures and photographs in the San Jacinto art bazaar. Live music, traditional food, flavoured waters and anything you may want, you will find on the stalls.

If you prefer more elaborate folk art, go to any store or go into the crafts center. In this unmistakable red mansion, you´ll find shop after shop selling finely crafted products. In the central courtyard, marimba and food. If you are suddenly assaulted by an existential doubt, ask the fortune-telling little bird. They say the canary never fails.

San Angel is a safe place. However, be careful with your belongings, the streets of the flea market are crowded.

There is a taxi stop on Madero so you don´t need to drive.

At lunchtime you'll find all kinds of restaurants and food stalls.

If you are looking decorations and luxury items, be sure to stop by the shops on calle Altavista.

The famous Casas Gemelas of Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo are also on Altavista.
