Made in Mexico design is in fashion. Mexico City has become one of the most dynamic design centers on the continent. It boasts novel and established designers, from inside and outside Mexico. Throughout the city you will find an endless range of stores selling decorations, fashion and accessories. All unique and personally designed.

If you are looking for exclusive Mexican design stores, try Common People in Polanco while San Ángel’s Happening is a pleasant surprise. In the center, go to The Shops at Downtown. While you’re in the area, check out the Mexican Museum of Design. In the Zona Rosa, make sure you visit Bazar Fusión, with Mexican designers’ stores and pop ups at the weekend; you can also take your pick of restaurants and enjoy the exhibitions.

The Colonia Roma combines emerging artists with luxury. You’ll find vintage objects at Trouvé, designer furniture in Modernismo, and Mexican designers’ apparel at Naked Boutique. Make sure you visit the Museum of Objects (MODO), which interprets different moments in history through its objects. Nearby, in La Condesa, another trendy area, you can find bikes at Bamboo, glasses at Dr.York, upcoming Mexican designers’ work at Design Box, handcrafted furniture in Hoja de Menta and international design at Design Spot. Local Concept stocks Mexican and international fashion or if you’re looking for T-shirts, try Mecánico.

If you’re in Mexico City in November, check out all the activities organized during the Corredor Cultural Roma-Condesa. There are concerts, exhibitions, gastronomic events, work by talented new designers, auctions, shopping ...
