Morning run in Chapultepec on the Gandhi circuit

Take 1 hour

Start your day with a nice run in the heart of Mexico City. The Gandhi circuit is one of the most popular tracks in Mexico City due to its location and flatness, and because it is so pleasant to is to run alongside its trees. The track is in Polanco, beside Chapultepec Forest and behind the Museum of Anthropology, it is 2.5 km long and goes around the entire block.

Start at the Gandhi Monument, the starting point for many popular runs in the Mexico City. Running is very popular in the city and you’ll find people starting their run from early morning. This area is one of the most beautiful in the city and you’ll enjoy the mature gardens with large trees alongside the volcanic rock tracks, which are in good condition.

The circuit will take you round the block on Gandhi Path to Campos Elíseos and Rubén Darío, ending at the point where you started. If you want a longer route, you can cross over to Paseo de la Reforma, in front of the main entrance of the Museo de Antropología, and go around Tamayo Museum, until you arrive back at Gandhi Path.

Of course, you’ll have to wear clothing and footwear that are suitable for running in.

Also in Chapultepec, but in the second section, there is a 2 km track through the forest known as “Pista El Sope” with gentle ups and downs.
