Send smiles from the Postal Palace

Take 1 hour

How long has it been since you sent a postcard? Is there anything more endearing than receiving a handwritten note from a loved one? Buy one and go to the Postal Palace to send it.

The Postal Palace is probably the most beautiful post office in the world. An architectural whim, reminiscent of a Venetian palace profusely adorned with gargoyles, reliefs, sculptures and a beautiful original clock. When you enter, you'll be amazed.

While waiting for your turn to buy the stamps, notice the Carrara marble floors, the beautiful forged bronze, the large columns and the original elevators decorated with copper and brass.  But the center of attention is the monumental staircase: look up and see the glass dome and the stained glass of the doors. Take photos of every detail. Go up this magnificent piece of architecture to the top floor and visit the exhibition of postcards and stamps.

Do not forget to send your postcard!

Ask about guided tours if you want to visit all the building. Admission is free.

The Palacio Postal was designed by the same architect who designed the Palace of Fine Arts just across the street.
