Shopping day at the Zona Rosa

Take 2 hours

Looking for something different? Smart? Old? Modern? Traditional? There are all kinds of temptations in the Zona Rosa. La Zona Rosa has always been one of the stylish, cosmopolitan, bohemian, artistic and literary areas of the city. And here you will find boutiques, antique shops, art galleries, silver shops and bazaars.

The Insturgentes Handicrafts and Silverware Market is a must if you want take home a very typical souvenir of Mexico. Whatever you are looking for: Blankets, Aztec calendars, charros hats, clothes, hammocks, carved obsidian, Talavera pottery, etc. If you prefer antiques, almost opposite you will find paintings, furniture, clocks and all kinds of collectibles in the Plaza del Angel Antique Center. In calle Londres you will also see many street stalls, especially on the Saturday flea market.

If you want something more exotic, or simply want to wander around, we recommend the lively streets of Genova, the main pedestrian thoroughfare of the Zona Rosa, full of cafes and restaurants; and the Hamburgo, Florencia and Londres streets.

Saturdays are the best days to go to Zona Rosa on the weekend.  On Sundays you are likely to find many businesses closed.

La Zona Rosa is a very inclusive, friendly neighborhood. By day there is a lot of activity in the shops and restaurants and at night the area comes alive with bars and clubs.

As in all crowded places, always watch your belongings.
