Take home a souvenir from Mexico

Take 2 hours

Looking for something special? Are you overwhelmed in the crowded bazaars? Do you want to stroll, stop, ask questions and enjoy your shopping? Tired of seeing crafts 100% made in Asia? The San Juan Crafts and curiosities Market is the place for you. A calm and relaxed market, in the center, with an incredible variety of authentic Mexican crafts.

The site of the market has been a place of trade since colonial times. At the entrance, a sign welcomes you to "Mercado de Artesanías San Juan. Mexican handicrafts since 1562. We continue to serve ". When you go inside, you will see an exhibition of photographs on the market and craft production. Go up to the first floor and head left, as the market is designed to be strolled through like a snail.

Blown glass, clay, ceramics, textiles, wooden toys, shawls, wood, silver, dolls, wood carvings, even saddles! Here you will find the perfect souvenir of your trip to Mexico and the best goodies to take home, in a completely peaceful environment.

If you do not find what you were looking for, try another nearby big market the La Ciudadela Crafts Market. There is also a good selection in Coyoacán and in the Saturday Bazaar in San Angelo.
