imagine...

Minimalism, modernity and agave. This is what the Tequila and Mezcal Museum (MUTEM) offers you in the heart of the Mexican fiesta: the Garibaldi Plaza. A museum dedicated to disseminating the culture that surrounds these two truly Mexican spirits so popular in bars worldwide. Today a generation of producers are providing high quality spirits to the most sophisticated bars.

On arrival, you will be surprised by the striking design of the space. Not to be missed: presiding over the entrance to the traditional Garibaldi Plaza, a large block of green and blue agave and mariachi. Inside, learn about the agave farming and tequila and mezcal production. Go out onto the terrace. Taste them. Learn to recognize up to 600 flavors. Create your own label for your bottle. And, with this fantastic introduction, go out and get to know the most universal square of Mexico with the traditional mariachi and canteens.

If you're in Mexico City, don´t miss the Agave and Mezcal Fest (check date).

The museum is open daily; check the opening hours.

The tasting is included in the entrance ticket.

Don't leave without visiting the magnificent store with an extraordinary selection of tequilas and mezcals, artisanal products and much more.

Send digital postcards and virtual serenades from the museum!

The MUTEM organizes guided tours of the area and the city center.

You can eat in the San Camilito Market in the square.
