Cities have a special aura at night. If you don't know the capital, if you have little time or if you want to see the city lights, the night Turibus (Turibus nocturno) is your best option.

The Turibus departs from the Zocalo and takes you first through the Historic District. Here are some of the most important museums and palaces in the city. A monumental city that looks magnificent when lit at night, specially the Palace of Fine Arts as you ride past the Alameda, as well as the Monument to the Revolution with its light beam. You can go on the view point until 10 pm.

From this point you are going to travel through the big city. First, the splendid Reforma Avenue, with the Momumento a la Independencia (Momument to Independence) gleaming from above. On the way there is an explanation on each of the city's neighbourhoods.

Alongside Reforma you'll go through the Zona Rosa, a shopping district during the day with great nightlife, famous for the LGBT scene. The Turibus continues to Chapultepec, the great lung of the city, by which some of the most important museums are found: the Anthropology Museum, the Tamayo Museum and the Modern Art Museum. Next, the Turibus takes you to two of the most happening districts of the city: Roma and Condesa. An excellent opportunity to explore some of the most emblematic places of the city under the light of the stars.

The circuit lasts approximately one hour and you may not step off the Turibus. Go up to the open top floor for best views. Bring warm clothing, particularly in the wintertime.

The night Turibus operates Friday and Saturday from nine in the evening till one in the morning.
