Located on Londres street in Coyoacan, one of the most beautiful and oldest neighborhoods in Mexico City, the Casa Azul was converted into a museum in 1958, four years after the death of Mexican painter, Frida Kahlo.

This was the painter´s family house, where she spent her childhood and where she lived the last years of her life. Today her personal objects reveal the intimate world of the most renowned worldwide Latin American artist. Here you can see the works Viva la Vida (1954), Frida y la cesárea (1931) Retrato de mi padre Wilhem Kahlo (1952), among others.

The museum has various discounts and special rates for teachers, students and credential INAPAM, also has workshops designed especially for children, to understand the painter's world on a didactic way, and why her art is one of the great contributions ok Mexican culture.

If you want photograph the museum, you must purchase a special permit.
