What this section is. The complete listing of hotels in Mexico City covered by this site, across every category and every part of the city.
The decision that matters more than the hotel. In a city this size, the neighbourhood decides your trip. The historic centre is best for a short first visit, with the Zócalo, the cathedral and the Templo Mayor on foot. The Roma and Condesa are leafy, walkable and dense with restaurants. Reforma is the best connected. Polanco is quiet and expensive, next to Chapultepec. Coyoacán is beautiful and far from everything else. And Santa Fe has no Metro and 40 to 60 minutes of traffic to the centre — stay there only if your business is there.
What to confirm whatever the category. That the hotel is where you think it is — colonia names repeat across the city, so check the borough and postcode. Whether the room faces a main avenue. Whether breakfast and parking are included. And which airport any transfer covers: MEX is inside the city, Felipe Ángeles is 45 km north.
Practical notes. Tap water is not drunk; hotels provide bottled water. Check-in is usually 15:00, check-out 12:00. At 2,240 metres, keep the first evening light.
