Where the name comes from. The bar takes its name from Carlos Balmori, a character invented by a woman who dressed as a man to play elaborate hoaxes on Mexico City society —a gambler, seducer and party-goer who never existed. The reference suits a place that does not take itself too seriously.
What to expect. A rooftop in the Roma: terrace, cocktails, music and a view over the neighbourhood's roofs. It works best at sunset, when the after-work crowd arrives; later it turns into a proper bar with a DJ.
Getting there. In colonia Roma, a few blocks from Álvaro Obregón. Insurgentes and Cuauhtémoc stations on metro Line 1 are nearby, with Metrobús along Insurgentes; for the way home late, use a ride app.
