How to get

Francisco I. Madero s/n, Col. Santiago Tulyehualco. 16700

in detail

What it has. A full public sports centre: a children's play area, a football pitch, an outdoor basketball court and a covered one, frontón and trinquete courts, an athletics track and a gym. The covered court matters here —it keeps games going through the afternoon rains.

Who it is for. This is a neighbourhood facility rather than a visitor attraction: residents of Santiago Tulyehualco and the surrounding pueblos of Xochimilco train and play here. If you are staying in the south of the city and want a track to run on, it is one of the few free options in the area.

Getting there. It is in Santiago Tulyehualco, in the east of Xochimilco. There is no metro nearby: take the Tren Ligero to the Xochimilco terminus and local transport from there, or come by car along the Xochimilco–Tulyehualco road.
