Milán #44, Col. Juárez. 06600
What it is. A small, relaxed complex of independent businesses on Milán, in Colonia Juárez —one of the city's most traditional central neighbourhoods and now one of its most interesting. The concept is deliberately unpretentious: a courtyard with a handful of units where you can do the shopping, take a class, get a haircut and stay for a drink without leaving the block.
What is inside. Among the tenants are Blanco yoga, the Nómada ice-cream shop, Ojo de Agua for juices and breakfast, Jack barbershop, the Eco Butik store, Rompeolas café and the plant shop La Suculenta. Tenants change, as they do in this kind of place, but the mix —food, wellbeing, design and plants— stays the same.
Practical notes. Open daily 09:00–19:00, which makes it a morning and afternoon destination rather than a night one. Colonia Juárez is walkable and sits between Paseo de la Reforma and the Zona Rosa; metro Cuauhtémoc and Insurgentes are both a few minutes away, as is the Reforma Metrobús. Combine it with a walk along Havre and Génova, where most of the neighbourhood's new restaurants are.
