What it is. A shopping centre on Popocatépetl in colonia Xoco, built around 60 units and more than 1,000 parking spaces, with boutiques and brand stores, restaurants and services.
Who it is useful for. Not a sight — it is the practical mall of the area. If you are staying in Del Valle, Xoco or along the Universidad corridor, it solves a bank, a pharmacy, a meal or a shop without crossing the city.
What is next to it, which is the real reason to be here. The Cineteca Nacional, the national film archive and the best cinema in the country, is in Xoco a few streets away: several screens, a programme of retrospectives and festivals changing weekly, free open-air screenings in its plaza and very cheap tickets. The centre of Coyoacán is about fifteen minutes further south.
Practical notes. Popocatépetl #546, colonia Xoco. Metro Coyoacán, line 3, is a short walk. Open daily; malls here run to 21:00 or later, which is later than most of Europe. Parking is ample and cheap, which is unusual in this part of the city.
