Squares
Real Romita s/n, Col. Roma Norte. 06700, Roma
It is a little cobbled square where you can see the chapel of San Francisco Javier and a circular fountain. In 1944, the church of Romita was considered a monument, while the square was called a typical area; but it was in 1980 that both were recognized as monuments of cultural heritage of Mexico City.
In addition to its pre-Hispanic origin, in the twentieth century it was the scene of films like Los Olvidados (The Forgotten), and even mentioned in the flagship book of José Emilio Pacheco.
