This market was opened as an extension of the Lagunilla; however, it is now almost exclusively a market for Perla Tapatía cuisine. It is said that even beef (birria) here is a delicacy, like pozole and their sweets and desserts such as custard, rice pudding and capirotada (Mexican bread pudding).
