San Juan de Aragón Zoo

This zoo was founded in 1964 and located in the north of the city. Architectonic design is of radial model, which allows visitors to watch animals from any point of view.

The zoo has animals, even some endangered ones, from Mexico and all around the world. It has 608 specimens of 128 species of mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians. It is host of the golden eagle, buffalos, elephants and hippos. It also has summer workshops for kids so they can learn about animals, take tours, make crafts and play.
