De la Santísima s/n, Col. Centro. 06000, Historic Center
In 1526, the City Council granted two lots to the Guild of Tailors to build a chapel and a hospice to give shelter to the destitute. Hence the Hospital of San Pedro was built to tend to sick and elderly clergy; and in 1667 the temple of the Holy Trinity was built. Since then it has undergone various processes of reconstruction due to the unstoppable process of sinking of the city.
The building is in churrigueresque style and is one of the most beautiful of the historic center. Architectural details abound that make it worthy of analysis. The relief depicting the Holy Trinity, its dome decorated with tiles and the ornaments in relief on the facade in the shapes of flowers, fruits, vines and cherubs in the main entrance all stand out. There are ten sculptures of bishops, popes and priests encased between the pilasters and columns.
