Módulo Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez

What this is. An official tourist information module at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, in Magdalena Mixhuca — free, staffed and selling nothing. Maps, transport routes and verified information about what is open across the city.

Where it puts you. The circuit hosts the Mexico City Grand Prix, normally in late October, and its stadium section — where the track runs through the old Foro Sol with grandstands on both sides — is the loudest part of any race on the Formula 1 calendar. The same complex holds the Foro Sol concert venue, the Palacio de los Deportes and the Ciudad Deportiva sports grounds.

What to ask here. How to get out after a large event, which is the real problem: the car parks empty very slowly and the Metro is by far the better option. Ask too about the current race and concert calendar, since dates are set a year ahead.

Practical notes. Viaducto Río de la Piedad, inside the Ciudad Deportiva complex, Iztacalco. Metro Ciudad Deportiva and Velódromo, line 9, are at the gates. On event days the module's hours follow the event.
