What this is. An official tourist information module at the CETRAM El Rosario, in Azcapotzalco — free, staffed and selling nothing. Printed maps, route advice and verified opening hours.
What a CETRAM is. A Centro de Transferencia Modal: an interchange where the Metro, buses, minibuses and taxis meet. El Rosario is one of the largest in the city, the western terminus of Metro lines 6 and 7, and the point where tens of thousands of people transfer between the Metro and the bus routes serving the north-west of the metropolitan area.
Why a visitor might be here. Rarely for the sights — but it is the gateway to Azcapotzalco, the seat of the Tepanec dominion before Tenochtitlan rose, whose historic centre, sixteenth-century parish and original pueblos are among the least visited heritage in the city.
Practical notes. Metro El Rosario, lines 6 and 7. This is a working transport hub at commuter density: keep your bag in front of you, avoid the 07:00–09:00 and 18:00–20:00 peaks with luggage, and ask the module for the specific bus route rather than guessing.
