Viaducto #260, Col. Magdalena Mixhuca. 15860
What this is. A tourist information desk inside the Holiday Inn Plaza Dalí — free to use whether or not you are staying. Printed maps of the city and the Metro, public transport routes and verified opening hours.
Where it puts you. On the southern Insurgentes corridor, the axis that runs the length of the city and carries Metrobús line 1 — which is the single most useful bus route for a visitor, since it connects the north of the city with San Ángel and the south in a dedicated lane, immune to the traffic beside it.
What to ask here. How to use the Metrobús: it takes the Movilidad Integrada card only, with no tickets sold on board, which is the thing that strands first-time users. Ask the desk where to buy and top up the card. Also the route south to San Ángel for the Saturday Bazar Sábado, and north to the Roma, Condesa and the centre.
Practical notes. The Metrobús runs along Insurgentes with stops every few hundred metres; Metro stations on lines 3, 7 and 12 intersect the corridor at several points. Daylight hours for the module.
