What this is. A tourist information desk inside the Holiday Inn Universidad, in the south of the city — free to use whether or not you are a guest. Maps, transport routes and verified opening hours.

Where it puts you. On the Avenida Universidad corridor, which is the access route to the whole southern circuit: Coyoacán and the Frida Kahlo Museum, Ciudad Universitaria with its World Heritage campus and the MUAC, the Espacio Escultórico on the lava field, and the Estadio Olímpico with Rivera's relief over the entrance.

What to ask here. How to reach the Casa Azul — and a reminder to buy that ticket online in advance, because it sells out daily. Also how to get to Xochimilco, which is further south and needs the Tren Ligero from Taxqueña rather than the Metro.

Practical notes. Metro Copilco and Universidad, line 3, serve the area. Coyoacán itself has no Metro: from Viveros-Derechos Humanos or Coyoacán station it is about twenty minutes on foot to the Jardín Centenario.
