Guerrero #90, Col. Buenavista. 06300
What this is. A tourist information desk inside the Hotel Lepanto — free to use whether or not you are a guest. Maps, public transport advice and verified opening hours across the city.
Where it puts you. North-west of the historic centre, in the belt around colonia Guerrero and the Alameda — close to the Museo Franz Mayer, with the finest decorative arts collection in the country, the Panteón de San Fernando where Benito Juárez is buried, and the Plaza Garibaldi, where mariachis have gathered since the 1920s.
What to ask here. How to get around at night, which is the relevant question in this part of the city: Garibaldi is three minutes away and worth seeing, but the walk back is not one to improvise — ask the desk to call a taxi rather than hailing one. Also the current state of the Metro lines nearby, since Guerrero and Hidalgo both serve the area.
Practical notes. Metro Guerrero, lines 3 and B, and Hidalgo, lines 2 and 3. Daylight hours for the module; the hotel reception covers the rest.
