What this is. A tourist information desk inside the Marquis Reforma, on Paseo de la Reforma — free to use whether or not you are a guest. Maps, public transport routes and verified opening hours.

Where it puts you. On the stretch of Reforma between the Ángel de la Independencia and the Diana Cazadora, which is the hotel and business spine of the city. The Bosque de Chapultepec begins a few hundred metres west, with the castle, the zoo and the National Museum of Anthropology inside it; the Zona Rosa is a few streets south.

What to ask here. How to do Chapultepec without exhausting yourself — the park is enormous and divided into sections, and most visitors try to cross it. Also the Monday closures, which catch out everyone arriving on a Sunday night.

Practical notes. Paseo de la Reforma #465, colonia Cuauhtémoc. Metro Sevilla and Insurgentes, line 1, and the Reforma Metrobús outside. On Sunday mornings the avenue closes to traffic for cyclists, runners and free zumba classes — the best free thing in the city.
