Guadalupe Basilica Museum is a private institution whose main objective is to bring attention to a religious and catholic sacred collection, without forgetting its importance as a part of Mexican population cultural patrimony.
Its work focuses on conserving, studying and spread almost 4,000 cultural states sheltered by Insigne y Nacional Basílica de Guadalupe: linens, sheets, marble sculptures and ivory banners, books and much more.
It is important to mention that this precinct has the largest heap, on the country, in Guadeloupian and Marian themes, mostly with reference to novohispano pictorial art. The work of artists such as Matías de Arteaga y Alfaro, Cristóbal de Villalpando, Nicolás Rodríguez Juárez, José de Ibarra, Miguel Cabrera, among others is also important.
