Panda Express Reforma

The chain. Panda Express is fast American-Chinese food: you build a plate by choosing rice or chow mein plus one or two dishes from the counter, among them the orange chicken that is its signature. It is cheap, fast and a long way from traditional Chinese cooking — useful for sorting out a meal between errands, not for a night out.

This branch. On Paseo de la Reforma, in the Tabacalera, near the Monumento a la Revolución and halfway between the historic centre and the Zona Rosa. This is office country: the place lives on weekday lunch.

Getting there and when. Metro Revolución and Hidalgo, line 2, are a few minutes away, and the Reforma Metrobús stops close by; there is no parking of its own. Open 12:30 to 21:00, and the longest queue is between 14:00 and 15:30, the Mexican lunch hour.
