What it is. Paranormal investigation tours run by a Mexican paranormal research agency, in old houses and buildings around the city. The agency checks each site for reported activity before scheduling a visit, and participants are folded into the team rather than following behind it: guides lead attempts to make contact, and if the group agrees, a ouija board may be used.
Where they happen. Buildings in the Centro, Juárez, San Miguel Chapultepec, Roma and Condesa — the neighbourhoods with the oldest housing stock and the deepest supply of stories. Dinner afterwards is part of the format.
The conditions, which are unusual and worth reading. Participants sign a waiver releasing the organisers from liability and must declare that they have no heart condition or other health problem that strong impressions could affect. The age limits run from 13 to 53. Bringing a camera or a charged phone is encouraged, since the images form part of the investigation.
Practical notes. Tours run monthly and are announced on the agency's own channels; places are limited and sell out. Everything is conducted in Spanish. Confirm the current price, the meeting point and the end time before booking, and arrange how you are getting home.
