Vicente Suárez #38, Col. Condesa. 06140, Condesa
What kind of place it is. A European-feeling cantina rather than a club: good atmosphere, pop-rock on the speakers, and a long list of beers of different styles and origins alongside cocktails. It works for a long afternoon at a table, and it is one of the Condesa options where you can eat well without booking weeks ahead.
What to eat. The kitchen leans on seafood: tostadas, empanadas, cocktails and plates to share —exactly what the beer list is built around.
Where it is. At Vicente Suárez 38, in Condesa, a few blocks from Parque México and Avenida Ámsterdam. Chilpancingo and Patriotismo stations on metro Line 9 are nearby, and Metrobús Line 1 runs along Insurgentes. This is a walking neighbourhood: parking gets difficult on Friday nights.
When to go. Early evening is the best moment: the terrace tables on Vicente Suárez fill from about seven, and the kitchen stays open late. Thursday to Saturday the whole street is busy —Condesa's bars run along the same few blocks— so expect a wait for a table unless you arrive before eight. Weekday afternoons are quiet enough for a long lunch.
