Cinemex Zaragoza

What it is. A multiplex of the Cinemex chain on Calzada Ignacio Zaragoza, in the east of the city. For a visitor the interest is the cinema itself: this is a neighbourhood venue, not a sight.

What to know about cinemas in Mexico City. Foreign films are shown either in the original with subtitles —listed as subtitulada— or dubbed (doblada): check the label before buying, as family films are mostly dubbed. Ticket prices are far lower than in Europe or the United States, and Wednesday is traditionally the discount day at the big chains.

Getting there. Zaragoza station on metro Line 1 is the closest; Calzada Ignacio Zaragoza is the axis that leads out to the airport and towards Puebla. From the Historic Centre, allow about twenty minutes on the metro from Pino Suárez.
