What it is. A bar and small live venue on Calle Yucatán in Roma Norte —the kind of room the neighbourhood's nightlife is built on: live programming, local scenes, no dress code worth the name, and a crowd of regulars rather than visitors.

When to go. Open Wednesday to Saturday, 20:00 to 03:00, and closed the rest of the week —that is the detail to check before travelling. The room fills after midnight, and as often in Mexico City the programme changes week to week, so look at what is announced for the night itself rather than assuming.

Practical notes. There is a cover charge depending on who is playing, usually cash. Roma Norte is walkable and packs dozens of venues into the same few blocks, so it is easy to move on; metro Insurgentes and Hospital General and the Insurgentes Metrobús are all a few minutes away. Take a ride app home rather than a street taxi late at night.
