Chuck E. Cheese's Oasis Coyoacán

What it is. A place built for children to enjoy being children: skill games and video games, with three large areas so that different ages play separately. The food is pizza and a standard family menu; the games are what the children come for.

How it works. Games run on tokens or a top-up card, with prizes exchanged at a counter —decide the budget before you start. Birthday parties fill the place at weekends; weekday afternoons are much quieter.

Where it is. Inside the Oasis Coyoacán mall, in the south of the city, on Avenida Canal de Miramontes. It is a practical rainy-afternoon option if you are staying in Coyoacán, and the Coyoacán market and central squares are a short ride away.
