Most work trips here leave an evening and a Sunday morning. These nine ideas are chosen to fit exactly that: things that work in a two-hour window, near the districts where the offices actually are.
If you have an evening. A viewpoint — the Torre Latinoamericana or the Monumento a la Revolución — takes an hour and gives you the whole valley. Museum Night, on the last Wednesday of most months, keeps dozens of museums open until late. Polanco is the easy dinner district; the Turíbus cantina circuit is the unserious option.
If you have a Sunday morning. Paseo de la Reforma closes to traffic and fills with cyclists, runners and free zumba classes — the single most pleasant two hours a visitor can have here, and it costs nothing. The Chapultepec Gandhi circuit and Ámsterdam in the Condesa are the running routes locals use.
Logistics. Santa Fe has no Metro and the roads in and out saturate at the start and end of the working day; allow 40 to 60 minutes to the centre. Reforma and Polanco are far better connected. At 2,200 metres, jet lag hits harder than usual: keep the first evening light.
