Cine Teresa

This movie theater is one of the oldest and traditionals in the city. It was founded in 1942 with all the luxury and avant-garde of the Art Decó to be home of hollywood and golden age mexican cinema. In the 90’s, the place started to fall apart due to cinema branches sewing up the market, thus displacing independent spaces. However, the property was recovered in 2010 and its gates were opened to general public a year later. Nowadays it functions as a branch of Cineteca Nacional, whose main purpose is to promote author films.
