What it is. A cultural space in San Rafael that opens its doors to the artistic community to stage work at accessible prices. It has two halls — one for 300 people and one for 145 — and runs as a multidisciplinary venue, from performance to visual-art shows.
Who it is for. Anyone who wants to see what the city's independent scene is producing right now without paying commercial-theatre prices. The programming is young and rotating: you never quite know what you will find, and that is the point.
How to find out what is on. The office hours are short — Monday to Friday from 16:00 to 20:00, closed at weekends — so the call to ask about the programme has to be made on a weekday afternoon.
Where it is. Francisco Pimentel #14, in San Rafael, one of the oldest neighbourhoods in the city, a step from Santa María la Ribera and the Monumento a la Revolución. Metro San Cosme and Revolución, line 2, are a few minutes on foot.
