The Museo Jumex is the newest avant-garde space in Mexico City. The building, designed by British architect David Chipperfield, was intended to promote the discovery, reflection and learning of contemporary art through a critical program that challenges the paradigms of thought and the big issues of our time.
With its straight lines, clear marble and stone, and emphasis on natural light, Museo Jumex is an avant-garde museum space. The high ceilings and excellent lighting make the visit an experience for all the senses.
The museum exhibits part of the Jumex Collection, which was founded in 2001 to preserve and promote the artistic production of the second half of the 20th century up to the present. The collection has become one of the most significant collections of contemporary art in Latin America, positioning itself as a cultural landmark in Mexico and the world. This museum has created alliances with different schools of the city to offer activities and shows attractive enough for children of preschool or older, everything according to their school curricula. In this way, learning becomes way more fun.
