What it offers. A receptive tour operator handling visits to Mexico City and excursions beyond it, working with both independent travellers and groups.

The excursions from the capital. The standard set is Teotihuacán — generally with the Basilica of Guadalupe and Tlatelolco on the same northern axis — Puebla and Cholula two hours east, Taxco and Cuernavaca to the south, and Tepoztlán, the closest of them. Inside the city: the historic centre, Chapultepec and the museums, Xochimilco and Coyoacán.

How to compare operators. Price alone tells you very little. What separates one day from another is the number of commercial stops built into the itinerary, the size of the group, whether the guide is certified, whether entrance fees are included, and what time you actually get back. Ask all five before paying.

A note on languages. Guided commentary in Mexico City is normally in Spanish; English is common and French, German and other languages are available from some operators at a supplement and with notice. Confirm this at the time of booking rather than on the day.
