“Homage to the Indian race” was created in 1952, and is currently located in the lobby of the Museo Tamayo (Tamayo Museum), which honors the muralist. In the work, the figure of a dark-skinned woman with geometrical shapes in her form is appreciated. Her arms and lines suggest movement and, in keeping with that style, a basket of pink flowers is observed in front of her. It is important to note that this painting was made for the Paris National Art Museum, however, it is now housed in the muralist’s museum along with a collection of his other works.
