Since 1912, according to its owners, Café de Tacuba offers one of the best culinary samples of the country. It is located in a seventeenth century manor, where its chefs and cooks are concerned with maintaining quality standards, rescuing the traditional recipes of ancient Mexico. The restaurant is decorated with different classical paintings that speak of the country's history and place, even movie scenes were filmed here such as Los Hijos de Sánchez. Among the specialties are the Tacos especiales de Tacuba, breaded brains, chiles rellenos and panuchos from the house. Among the desserts you can taste sweet tamales, fritters and chocolate.
