What it is. A taquería inside the Perisur shopping centre, in Jardines del Pedregal, in the south of the city. It is the fast, cheap option in a mall where almost everything else costs a good deal more.

What to expect. Tacos in shopping-centre format: counter or table service, a short menu, and the salsas on the table. Taste the salsa with the tip of the taco before you pour it on: in Mexico the heat is never announced and varies from house to house.

Hours. It opens at 08:00 every day, before the rest of the mall, and closes at 21:30 — 23:00 on Saturdays and 21:00 on Sundays. Tacos for breakfast is a local habit, and here you can.

Getting there. Periférico Sur #4690, inside Perisur. There is no Metro nearby — Universidad, line 3, is the closest — so car or taxi is the practical option, with the mall's own parking.
