If we are talking history, we talk about La Ópera bar, one of the most emblematic places of Centro Histórico. Its origins date back to the Porfiriato, offering since 1876 meals of international cuisine. It stands out for certain specialties such as snails in chipotle sauce, shanks Galician style, or tongue Veracruz style. It will be impossible for the diner not to admire the building with its French style, its cabinets with a walnut finish and the New Orleans imported bar. The history and reputation of La Ópera is so extensive that it is frequented by writers, artists and politicians; some of them seek the legendary bullet fired against Francisco Villa in the early twentieth century —or so they tell—.
