Calz. de Las Águilas #1350, Col. Puente Colorado. 01730
The chain. Sanborns combines café, restaurant, pharmacy and shop, with Mexican snacks and a broad international menu, long opening hours and card payment everywhere. For a visitor it solves breakfast before anything else opens, a predictable meal and a clean bathroom with wi-fi.
This branch. On Calzada de las Águilas, in Puente Colorado, Álvaro Obregón — a residential district in the west of the city with no tourist offering. It is a neighbourhood branch, used by the people who live around it.
Where it sits. The west of Álvaro Obregón climbs towards the wooded edge of the city: the Barranca de Tarango, Los Dinamos and the road up to the Desierto de los Leones are all in this direction. If you are heading that way, this is a sensible breakfast stop before the climb.
Practical notes. Calz. de las Águilas #1350. No Metro nearby: Barranca del Muerto and Mixcoac, line 7, are the closest, with a taxi from there. There is parking, which is how most people arrive.
