The chain. Sanborns is a café, restaurant, pharmacy and shop in one, open long hours, with a wide Mexican and international menu. For a visitor it covers early breakfast, a predictable meal and a clean bathroom with wi-fi; all branches take cards.
This branch. In Santa Fe, the corporate district in the west of the city — glass towers, shopping centres and almost no street life. It serves the offices around it, which means it is busiest at weekday lunchtime and quiet at weekends.
What to know about getting here. Santa Fe has no Metro. You arrive by car, by app taxi or on the buses that run from Tacubaya and Observatorio, and the approach roads saturate as the offices fill and empty. From the historic centre, allow 40 to 60 minutes. This is the single most common planning mistake visitors make in this city.
What is nearby. Parque La Mexicana, the district's green space, and the Centro Santa Fe shopping centre, one of the largest in Latin America.
Practical notes. Av. Vasco de Quiroga s/n. Ample paid parking. Avoid arriving between 18:00 and 20:00 on a weekday.
