What it is. Recorridos con Historia is a walking-tour project built by Natalia, an art historian, running since 2015. The premise is explicit: history explained through the everyday life of each period, rather than through dates and dynasties.

Why it is different from a standard tour. Because it was started in reaction to them. The intention is not a guide reciting a memorised script as a job, but someone showing you their own city the way a friend would when you come to visit — which changes both the route and the pace.

What the walks cover. The history, art, architecture and food of Mexico City and the towns around it, with routes that change according to the theme and the season.

Who it suits. Anyone who has already done the obvious sights and wants context; and anyone on a first visit who would rather understand one neighbourhood properly than photograph six.

Practical notes. Prices depend on the route, so ask for a quote. Confirm the language the walk is conducted in, the meeting point, the duration and the group size when you book — these are small-group walks rather than scheduled departures, and dates are arranged directly.
