It is a living museum or site, located in one of the chinampas (floating orchards) of the Lago de los Reyes Aztecas. There are still 29 km of canals preserved in the area. The museum aims to raise awareness to preserve the landscape of one of the five lakes that formed Tenochtitlan before the Spanish conquest.
It is located on Lake Chalco, which is only one small area of water where you can appreciate the flora and fauna. To go on the trip you should go to the pier of the Lago de los Reyes Aztecas and hire a trajinera. The landscape emits tranquility, peace and silence.
