Maque Condesa

The house. Maque is a Mexican bakery-restaurant known above all for its pastry: panques, conchas and sweet bread made in house, plus breakfasts and set menus. The look is deliberately casual, a neighbourhood bakery done properly.

This branch. On Ozuluama, in Hipódromo Condesa, a few streets from Parque México, on one of the quieter corners of the neighbourhood. It is a long-breakfast place rather than a lunch one.

Getting there and when. Metro Chilpancingo and Patriotismo, line 9, are a few minutes away; parking is scarce, as everywhere in the Condesa, so walking is better. Open Monday to Saturday 08:00 to 20:00, Sundays until 19:00. There is a queue on weekend mornings: Saturday and Sunday breakfast in the Condesa is a local institution and the tables fill before 10:00.
