Maque Polanco

The house. Maque is a Mexican bakery-restaurant whose reputation rests on its house-made pastry. What to order is settled: the panqué de elote, the sweetcorn loaf, the brownies, and for breakfast the omelet poblano.

This branch. On Emilio Castelar, in Polanquito, facing the Parque Lincoln area, on the same pedestrian street where the neighbourhood's cafes cluster. It takes pets, which makes it one of the regular addresses for people walking dogs in the park.

Getting there and when. Metro Polanco, line 7, is a few minutes away; parking in Polanquito is scarce and expensive. Open Monday to Saturday 08:00 to 20:30, Sundays until 20:00. Weekend brunch is its busiest moment: arrive before 10:00 or wait for a table.
